| Abstract: | This report presents an overview of the actual official documents on the Standard
QoS. The aim is to clarify the concept of quality of service and its relationship with performance indices.
Quality is an essential feature in the characterization of products and services. The definition and measure of quality is very difficult when we decide to evaluate the quality of the services of computer systems. Therefore, it’s necessary
to clarify and identify the key aspects of Quality of Service (QoS) and the activities related to QoS management.
In this work, we analyze documents related to the QoS standards in a very general context, without going into details of a particular service or implementation. |
